Kerikeri Travel Guide: 9 reviews and 50 photos

Situated in a citrus and tropical fruit growing district, Kerikeri is famous for being home to the two oldest surviving houses in New Zealand, Kemp House and the Stone Store, both built in 1822.

Kemp House

Kerikeri stands on the river of the same name and was inhabited by the Maori people long before the first Europeans arrived.

Rewa's village

Kerikeri also houses Rewa's village, an open air museum set out as a faithful reconstruction of an ancient Maori village of this area.
