It's all uphill!

Sigiriya was one of the stops on our tour of Sri Lanka,
The Lion rock rises some 370 and dominates the surrounding landscape.
The ruins are of the ancient capital built by King Kassapa I (477–95)
You can climb to the top of the Lions Rock (guides available) for great views and glimpses of this now Unesco designated site,

Is the sigiriya climb very scary if one is somewhat afraid of heights?

I'll bet that pool felt great after the hot climb! Spent much time passing thru when it was known as Ceylon. Wonderful people!
