I'm a resident, I'm obviously biased. Now, if you will, focus beyond the the lack of chewing gum, the caning, the death penalty, the expensive alcohol, the concrete, the small land area and so forth, and you might actually see the prism of life in Singapore.
Good ol' Singers (as someone I know calls it) is just one of the many funny places you can find in this funny world. We've got some really entertaining phases, like the Hello Kitty crush and the Condo queues and the never-ending obssesion with being Number 1. We're all tall buildings and neatly planted foilage (I s'pose that explains "Garden City"). Okay, not ALL tall buildings - there're some really funnily-shaped ones like the flies' eyes Esplanade and a Merlion-shaped tower.
