Lefkas is an islandand the centre of the main Ionian Islands. But it is only 50 metres far from the mainland and is attached by a causeway and mobile bridge, opened every day for 10 min per hour. Or you can reach it with ferry boat from Preveza (30 min) or by airplane. This makes Lefkada a very easy island to get to.

Lefkas has fantastic views around. Of the east coast to the famous Onassis island of Scorpios, to the other islands and mainland of Greece. On the west coast you will find the beaches and will have beautiful sunsets.
In addition you have some historical places there.

    I spent a couple of days in Sept in Nidri visiting my pen friend there and would like to see more of the island. Very nice page with lovely photos.

    Lefkas is really a fascinating island. Some parts are becoming a bit too touristy but there remain still many parts of the island still unspoilt!
