Hidden Treasures

Azov Sea.... Arabatskaya Strelka... Not a lot of foreign visitors go there... but locals. As for me I like this sea. It is warm, clean and no jellyfish! Great friendly local people! If you wanna have a break from civilization, this is your place!:-)
There's maybe one internet place, and hard to find phones. The closest city is Genichesk.

Lovely nature!

Azov Sea...
Arabatskaya Strelka... It's a lovely sandy strip of land, 113km (60 miles) long, and from 270 m to 8 km wide. It is located at the Eastern part of Crimean peninsula and separates Sivash Bay from Azov Sea.
Sivash is also called "Foul Sea". It is very shallow and salty, so its water becoming very warm in summer and produces saprogenic smell. A lot of locals use its bottom scurf as a unique treatment for arthritis or some other diseases.
Maximum depth of Azov Sea is 15 meters. Two big rivers Don and Kuban and several smaller ones flow into it.

Climate

Unique weather conditions. There could be cold everywhere in Ukraine, but here it would be warm and sunny!
Or vise versa!:-)

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Great nature!
  • Cons:Just a little of civilization, a lot of mosquitos...
  • In a nutshell:Good place for something different, cheap and to the point
