the word 'Sechelt' means land between 2 waters. This small community was originally named for the First Nations people of the region, the shishalh. Sechelt is centrally located on the Sunshine Coast, on the narrowest part. Less than 1/2 a mile of land seperates the Sechelt Inlet from the Pacific Ocean.

Sechelt, as well as the Sunshine Coast offer many amazing activites, such as kayaking, diving, sailing, mountain biking, golfing, fishing, sightseeing, hiking, swimming, and almost anything else you could want.
