Zeng He was a Muslim Chinese who reached Island Southeast Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. By some accounts he also visited the Pacific and the New World before Cooke or Columbus. He was a eunuch in the service of Emperor Chengzu in command of 27 ships and some 28,000 crew.
