I lived in San Francisco (everyone calls it "The City" and never call it "Frisco") for several years, and now I visit there on business several times a year. When I go to The City I want a "San Francisco fix", and you can only get that from staying at the Fairmont, the Mark, the St. Francis, and the best of all, The Palace. If you want to feel San Francisco from its roots to its future, this is a classy and hip place to stay. It is great for business as it is next to the Montgomery Street business area and great for tourist as it is right on Market Street with access to public transportation. I love to just think about this great place!
Unique Qualities: Business services is excellent. Great places to meet clients or have a cocktail at six with a friend. It is an elegant place full of history and charm. Sometimes I can get a great pre-pay price on the internet; e.g. $129 a night which is like "stealing" for this place. Go to the Palace Hotel web site.
