Odense is the ideal place to escape the everyday routine. Denmark's third largest city has everything you need. It is easy to find your way around one of the oldest cities in the country. There are lovely green areas in the city but especially out along the river, which you can explore by boat. There is a rich cultural life. Art of all kinds in the theatres, on the streets, in the parks, in the museums and art galleries.

You can feel the spirit of H.C.Andersen in Odense. Explore the city where the writer was born and create your own fairy-tale. In the old part of the city you can visite museums housed in plces where H.C.Andersen was born and grew up. In july there is a real fairy-tale castle inhabited by witches, mermaids,princes and princesses. In the open areas and parks you can see large and small sculptures which you are allowed to touch. Many of them represent the well-known characters from his fairy-tales.
