Lake Bled is a fairytale lake with the church on the island in the middle of it, the castle towering over it and the mountains in the background. We first visited it a few years ago when we stayed at Bled for a week, and we revisited it for a day from Ljubljana. On that occasion, we spent the day strolling round the lake, stopping to eat and drink at restaurants, to swim and to row across to the island. Peter also went on the summer toboggan run, which was a bit scary doing it for the first time! Unfortunately, he didn't have time to go on it again!
