Kos Town, the capital and largest town in Kos, is built around an attractive harbour which is dominated on one side by the remains of its medieval castle. There are numerous archaeological remains scattered around the town, and the 'Casa Romana', a large reconstructed Roman house, is particularly worth visiting.

There are plenty of touristy shops, bars and restaurants in its streets, and it has a colourful indoor market. We stopped at the Bittersweet Creperie for a light lunch.
