|  | Schlitters is at the lower end of the Zillertal Valley, and the trains travel to Mayrhofen at the top of it, stopping off at other ski resorts en-route. In March 2008, we came here for the third time. However, about 3 minutes into the first run on our first day, somebody skied into me, resulting in my shoulder bein dislocated, so that was the end of my skiing for that week!
Spieljoch above Fügen, which is the nearest ski area to Schlitters, is pleasantly uncrowded compared with the better known resorts higher up the valley. Buses run from the train station to the bottom of the cable car (with some of them continuing up to Hochfügen).
