The spire in Lake Reschen, which was built in the 14th Century, was the spire of the church of Graun village. It was flooded when the reservoir was completed in 1950. Many people lost their homes as a result.
Churburg Castle is situated in a prominent position on a hill above the small town of Schluderns in the Vinschgau Valley, and has a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside.
It is an attractive and fascinating place to visit, claiming to have the largest private collection of armoury in the world, and having been in the same family for almost 500 years.
