| | Stone Town is the old part of Zanzibar Town, and includes a maze of narrow alleyways, many of which are enclosed by rather dingy and delapidated buildings, and a large and colourful, but smelly, market.
We stayed at Tembo House Hotel for one night, and, on our last day on Zanzibar, our guide, Seidi, took us on a boat trip to Prison Island, which is famous for its tortoises, some of which are huge.
In the late afternoon, we flew back to Dar Es Salaam to begin our travels on the mainland of Tanzania.
