Well, what can i say about this place?
Ok, firstly you need to visit this wonderful town to see how amazing it is!
Take the town centre for example....Best viewed on friday and saturday evenings. Enter at the South End of the town and you will pass the meccas aka Chicagos and Reds. Two clubs that tend to be frequented by women in their 30's (that's both in age and stone). Chicagos is particularly cr&p and to prove the point, it is playing host to Peter Andre soon. Jason Donovan also appeared there, on a similar theme, it has a poofs night on Sundays as well.
Anyway to experience the full splendour of this town you need to turn right at the corner of next and woolworths and head for the bright lights of Rat Boy Square.
Rat Boy Square is home to four fabulous nightspots, Yates, Toad, Lloyds and Edwards. Each of these establishments have a strict dress code that requires visitors to don Burberry Caps, lacoste shell tops, reebok tracksuit bottoms and white reebok classics.
The North end of town is home to Dukes Nightclub. The slogan says 'have you had the Dukes experience?', if you haven't, think yourselves lucky.
Sadly the other 'Super club' Zeus has had to close down. The age limit here seemed to be 5 and upwards.
That's the drinking covered, 'Where do we eat?' i hear you ask. Well there are numerous options including the excellent Starburger and Butterflies restaurants in the High Chelmer shopping centre.
Additionally al fresco diners are catered for in this town. Just head to dominos or papa johns and take your pizza and head for Central Park where you can check out the skateboard ramps and railway arches.
Out of town visitors opting to stay the night (why?) can stay in the luxury 5 star Miami Motel, the executive suites look out on to Tesco's car park.
Must see attractions include the army and navy flyover and multi storey car park on parkway. Both seemingly designed by Stevie Wonder's brother!
- Pros:You can fish for shopping trolleys from the bridge outside M&S
- Cons:The Council removed the benches outside Mcdonalds as it appeared to be a breeding ground for Chavs
- In a nutshell:Not as bad as Romford
