  • Kirstenbosch Gardens is a world famous botanical garden that is "breathtaking" and "outrageously beautiful". The Botanical Gardens are situated along the slopes of Table Mountain , just picture it ......... brings back memories.

There are over 22000 indigenous plants in the garden, many of which are found only in the Cape Peninsula. The Peninsula is the smallest of the world's six floral kingdoms, and has one of the highest concentrations of different plant species anywhere. The special vegetation of the region is called "fynbos" and includes the protea. South Africa's national flower is just one of the thousands of beautiful, unique plants to see at Kirstenbosch.

For all the plant and garden lovers this is a must see. My mom is a bit of a garden guru and she was speakless when we first visited here.

So come on guys make this one of many stops , remember I told you there is lots to see.

  • Table Mountain in my opinion is a land mark , that marks Cape Town. Cape Town is situated at the base of the mountain as in my photo in my introductory page.

Well there is 2 ways up the mountain , you can either hike up well marked trails or you can go by cable car. Either way you just have to go ontop of that mountain. When up there you`ll know why I say you gotta get up there. The view is absolutely beautiful.

There is various restaurants ontop of the mountain and in my opinion , have breakfast or lunch before you go to the top because I found it very expensive to go and have to eat in those restaurants.

Never the less you just gotta make this one of your stops.

    Rates are as follows:

    Adults = R110.00 (return)

  • Camps Bay has long been a favourite destination for overseas visitors to Cape Town. Just behind Table Mountain, nestled beneath Lions Head and the majestic Twelve Apostles, and boasting a magnificent palm fringed sandy beach, Camps Bay is a real gem.

I`ll love coming here this one of many beaches I enjoy spending time at.

  • Well guys I just had to add this picture of Camps Bay. You can see the mountains called the 12 Apostles which leads all the way to Cape Point.

Now you can see why you gotta stop here. One other thing that I found quiet cool is that you can walk in and out of the shops and restaurants in your swim suit because everything is directly apposite the beach. No one cares.

If you a sports car fan , just drive through Camps Bay at night and surely gonna see quiet a bit of them just parked their.

There is some lovely restaurants for you to go and checkout there as well.

Scenic drives / Garden Route: Hout Bay

  • Well Guys after visiting Camps Bay you just gotta visit Hout Bay. Its about more or less 10mins drive from Camps Bay and believe me the cliff side road all the way to Hout Bay is Absolutely beautiful.

Hout Bay is a small fishing town , where you can get LEKKER "nice" snoek here.

This is where the famous Chapmans Peak Drives starts. Chapman’s Peak Drive is one of the most scenic marine cliff drives in the world. It is not advisable to take your eyes of the winding road which has a sheer drop to the sea. Luckily there are plenty of viewpoints for photos or a picnic, with spectacular scenery north to Hout Bay and south to Noordhoek and Kommetjie.

    This is a must see.

Directions: From Cape Town when passing Clifton and Camps Bay continue driving on that road. This road will take you straight into Hout Bay passing Landudno on the way.

Seals at Duiker Island: Seals at Duiker Island "Seals Island"

  • Hey guys , while you at Hout Bay you can take a boat ride to Duiker Island and go and checkout the Seals.

For the Adventurers , Seal dives take place around Duiker Island near Hout Bay. Duiker Island is the home to around 7000 Cape Fur Seals. The island is surrounded by a large kelp forest which makes snorkelling and diving safe and fun.

The dives are generally done on the west side of the island as depths of up to 10m can be reached here. The seals are quite playful and tend to mimic your behaviour. For the non diver, organised snorkelling trips can also be arranged which prove to be a lot of fun with the children.

  • This is a very nice place to go and relax. Its situated next to Strand.

Bikini Beach in Gordons Bay is absolutely tiny but its a real pleasure to swim there. Its situated next to the harbour. Make sure you go there early as parking can become a real problem sometimes.

The Mountains that you can see in the background in picture is the Hottentots Hollands which is really beautiful. The road from here to Hermans via Kool Bay and Betties Bay is absolutely beautiful, kinda like Chapmans Peak Drive.

  • He Guys , if you love spending time on the beach then I highly recommend the Strand.

Just driving along the beach gives you this great Holiday Feeling. This is a long stretch of beach and when driving along , everyone seems to be having fun. You just gotta stop and enjoy yourself.

Well like I said before in my Gordon`s Bay review parking can be a problem in the peak season so always try to go early.

  • When going to Table Mountain , before going up the Cable Car just continue driving on that cliff side road until you reach the end. You will get a spectacular view of the whole of the Cape from here. I know that the view is absolutely beautiful from here but just keep your eyes on the road as its a long drop down.

You will see from my photo how breath taking the view is.

    This is a must see.

Directions: Continue driving on the road past the Cable Car section of Table Mountain.
