I was told by many VT`ers not to stop over here as the place is filled with prostitutes and its not a tourist place as there is nothing to see. Anyway my trip to Penang got cancel so I headed off to Batam as I was going to Singapore next. I stayed at a very nice hotel which was the Novotel Hotel. I guess I descided to take a walk around , there was`nt much to do besides to do some shopping and there is no real beach.
You had to take a taxi from my hotel to where Harris Hotel is situated as they have lots of water activities like paragliding and jet ski`s and so forth. It was about 45 mins away from where I was staying. Anyway you can catch a good massage while there as its really good and cheap but beware of the ladies. In the hotel I stayed there was club in the hotel and there was all these ladies here that was accompanying the business men. I guess the people here thought I was from Singapore as it seem that many Singaporians made there way here. If they saw a single guy enter the club believe me when I say you were taken in 60 seconds. Aparently like I was told they were looking for love and want to get out of poverty so they were running after the business guys who were there and hoping they would find someone. |
