I guess it's like most resort towns, the bulk of the tourist trade dies down when the temperature cools off.
The old town area is small and somewhat restored. There really is not much to see or visit.
The storks have set-up nests on different high points of the town's landscape... their beak clapping can be heard from quite a distance.
You can take the city bus to the Faro beach, just past the airport. Again, it is not that warm in January so it is quite dezerted in the Winter months. However you can walk for miles... |
