Nice place to stop for a couple hours | Old city walls of Cittadella |
Cittadella is a small town about 15 km west of Castelfranco Veneto that is reachable by main highway or by train. The old town is surrounded by intact walls. There is a lot of rehab going on but I was able to walk half-way around the top of the walls - this is about 3/4 of a km. There is a moat on the outside of the walls. You have to pay a small fee at one of two entrances to make the steep climb to the top of the walls. It is worth it! |
