EVery year in September the Mayor of London hosts the Thames Festival which runs for an entire weekend - 12noon to 10pm both Saturday and Sunday.
A very popular and recommended event in the lineup is the Night Carnival held on Sunday night starting at dusk ie 7pm finishing around 9pm - following along and crossing the River Thames.
The parade is well known for its excellent, lively and colourful floats and costumes and is well recommended - a must-do for photo lovers!! The themes of the floats generally relate to London and/or the impact of the Thames on London's life and history
Dress Code: anythiing you like!...dress up as a fish if you like!
Directions: the area around the Thames embankments from Westminster bridge up to Blackfriars bridge and finishing behind Waterloo - look at the websites for a map
