Looking beautiful and graceful straddling the river Brenta and really looking its medieval part set between the old centre of Bassano this bridge was impressive to see and to walk across.
Designed in 1569 by Palladio this bridge is built of timber to allow it flex when hit by the surging spring waters from melting snow and ice in the surrounding mountains. |
