desert town of Mhamid

Here in this border post and administrative centre town with a population of 2000 theres not a lot happening other than tourists and camel trips.'

Its the end of the road here - well tarsealed road for 2 wheel drive cars - so any travel of a direction from here - other than the road 3km to the old village which was destroyed during a 1970s Polisario attack - and back to Zagora requires 4x4, camel or a good set of feet.

Wonderful restaurant and the sandy entrance gate to Mhamid is fantastic. Great page!

Seems a surprisingly good restaurant for an OTBP place on the edge of the Sahara.

That entrance gate looks like a film set for a western :-) Or would that be an eastern? :-)
