Comfortable and clean accommodation - large rooms with ensuite - double and single bed for 190 dirham for two with breakfast. Good value with pleasant staff, two nice courtyards to enjoy breakfast or collect it and take it back to your room. Some parking spaces available for secure off street parking, otherwise on street parking is quite okay with overnight guardian. Hotel is about 5-10 minutes by car/taxi from the main square/medina but its in a quiet area, there are good shopping streets nearby and an optometrist next door which i discovered provides very nice frames and lenses for half the london price. Also uses 1 minute computerised eye testing for about ?10. There is also a large post office in the vicinity.
Unique Qualities: good value double rooms with nice courtyard and staff. Have returned for yet another stay and even though it does not have air conditioning and Marrakech was very hot we enjoyed the oasis type courtyard with its green foliage, banana tree and cool shade for a very relaxing breakfast, staff again were very pleasant and kind. and good value away from the chaos of the medina to get ourselves together after a busy departure from London, also being able to have the car so accessible, drive to Marjane and back easily without the hassle of medina parking etc. They can organise tickets for you such as Chez Ali which is great entertainment - with banquet included - for a night for only just over £20 per person.

Always had this hotel on my list of choices but just never got to it! of course went past it many times but never had it come up into any of our visits - its restaurant is also recommended - and this time taking a friend we needed somewhere very handy, clean and low budget - which it met all these demands and my friend was very happy with the decor with moroccan look and character - for her first visit to morocco. we had a room with a view - directly over to Koutoubia and the main road up to the main square. and the deciding factors ahead of Hotel Ali and Hotel Foucould was the higher chance itd be clean and have a good breakfast with a view with reputation - so we did get very good value for all of this for 420 dirham or £25 for the two of us.
Unique Qualities: Nice view, especially from the restaurant up on the higher floor which is a good reputation for dining with the view in the evenings for outside guests, but for us guests staying and with brakfast included its a nice inclusion. The background was hazy so we couldnt see the snow topped mountains in the background but generally you can on a good day. The staff were always pleasant and helpful, such as when needing water when arriving back at midnight from Chez Ali taking us around to their shop though closed to get it for us, booking the tickets for us for Chez Ali, being accommodating for us when we didnt get back by the time our rental car agent had arrived and happy to phone them for us etc when we were ready! And the decor done with some nice moroccan decor finishing touches.

This hotel is in the street behind Hotel Ali - its a very handy spot only a few minutes from the main square Djma Elfna - its cheap for only 70 dirham a person for a room without bathroom - i splashed out and took a double room with shower and air conditioning for 150 dirham. and glad i did as it remained quite hot until late in the evening. it was the end of a 15 day visit to friends and see some of the sights for maximum picture taking and when i got to marrkech that evening to be prepared for the am flight it was hot and i was exhausted - so i was happy to splash out for one of the best rooms in the cheap hotel being that airconditiong and shower in the room are available.
Unique Qualities: Nice view from the roof to the Koutoubia mosque and on a good day without haze there is clear view through to the Atlas mountains in the background with its snow on top till as late as early June. Good security which is reassuring when in the busy city centre - staff are always around the entrance way to keep a check on whos coming in and going out. the communal area, loos and showers have always been clean when ive been there as a non guest and as a guest.

Ive stayed here three times when our usual first choices were full - and particularly if weve been in need of airconditioning so this place is good value especially in the summer heat and during Ramadan - the 6pm breakfast - to break the fast - was fantastic. Has a small pool up on the roof with nice views of the nearby park. As a Moroccan run hotel, but European style, it may be hit and miss - but generally its been clean and 3 star quality - Ive since read mixed reviews but as with travelling around Morocco theres always a possibility of being disappointed with an unclean bathroom etc - but if thats the case point it out immediately and the problem will be attended to immediately. We paid 330 dirham/£20 each time we stayed there - with breakfast included - the last visit was 2+ years ago
