I have just spent most of my morning looking at your Kuwait pages ,they are so interesting and your photo's say a lot about the areas you traveled. The camel racetrack sounds like fun.

thanks Dorrise! it really was an interesting visit - esp being with the family of the man I escorted over from London...so it was a bit of an insight into some of the local life there and then some of the locale. Certainly interesting how much variety in the world and yet in so many ways we are much the same!

thanks for visiting. something special about deserts - and esp when people manage to live in them! same with Morocco where ive spent most of the last 10 years...many people are surprised it has any mountains when it is in fact it has such an amazing diversity of beautiful landscapes :) hope you will rate anything you find interesting if you visit again :)

Hi and thanks Victory - lovely to see you have visited my Kuwait page - it really was an interesting opportunity to escort a patient back to their family in Kuwait, to meet them and see a bit of Kuwaiti life and culture in their home country.

Angela, great you had the opportunity to visit Kuwait. It looks a little like the impressions of my first visit to Oman. A friend from our hometown went back to Kuwait as florist, doing arrangements for huge wedding parties. Also flashbacks to the 90s when a journalist friend was trapped after the Iraqis entered the country. She escaped overland to Saudi Arabia facing a Iraqi tank in the desert by chance showing her the way to the border.

I enjoyed reading about your trip to Kuwait, as I'm especially interested in the Gulf States. Thanks for checking out my Djibouti page.
