Moustiers-Sainte-Marie Travel Guide: 22 reviews and 81 photos

My first visit was for a wander for a few hours in February 2008 after driving the Gorges du Verdon from Castellane and Comtu Sur Aby and then drove back to Nice.

Was able to return again just to drive around to get photos from various positions around the town last week, February 2016, after driving the Gorges du VErdun again having stayed the night at La Bastide and this time driving the other side of the Gorges du Verdon that goes through La Palud to Castellane

Lovely little town - I visited in 1994, but would love to go back.

The church here does have amazing views...would be scared to buy the handpainted ceramic though (because I always break breakable stuff, hehehe)...but very nice tips, Norman :)

France has a lot to offer for tourists as we are. Also the North part, be sure. It's very close from home, so if you search a hotel without stars you're always welcome here :-). Thanks for your visit on my St Pol pages. Friendly regards, JP

thanks JP! just read this again, ive got itchy feet for France and your part of the world so you might see me over your way. hope to at least get to Brussels for the flower carpet again. but relatives in NZ who have an amazing lavender farm told me their daughter is looking for a relatives gravestone in one of the Commonwealth cemetaries so will have to chase up where that is and visit it myself while i can!

These French towns are so picturesque and full of character. We must get back to France one day......
