GULF LINK TO THE REST OF THE WORLD

by jwilliams2005 - last update: Apr 12, 2007

Dubai has established itself as the first port call in the gulf for business and tourists. In addition to its oustanding, luxurious hotels, Dubai hosts a range of international sporting events. The annual Dubai Desert Classic attracts world class golfers and golfing enthusiasts, as well as the ATP Tennis Open. If you are looking for an adventurous experience, treat yourself to vacationing in Dubai. Please remember that from October 15th until November 15th, is Ramadah. Meaning there will be no music at discos, or bellydancing. Most restaurants are closed until after 6pm, because of fasting.

Metropolitan Palace Hotel staircase. This is where I had the pleasure of staying while on vacation in Dubai. The hotel has 212 tastefully-appointed luxurious suites and rooms, a butler service and Far Eastern, Arabic & European decor. It has four restaurants, nautius health center, jacuzzi, swimming pool on the roof, sauna and access to its private beach facilities. What a way to treat yourself.
Burj Al Arab Hotel. (meaning "Arabian tower") is the world's most luxurious all-suite hotel. It stands on a man made island, 280 meters offshre. Built in the shape of a billowing sail, it offers 202 duplex suites with personal butler service, seven restaurants, including one 200 meters abve the Gulf and one under water, a health club and spa. It even has a helo-pad.
