Getting TO/AROUND: Ochsenfurt allows pedal cyclists to travel in either direction along the town's one-way system!

Leading out of the town are a couple of excellent cycle routes. The other side of the Main, along its east bank from Kleinochsenfurt is a delightful riverside route leading to Sommerhausen and Winterhausen. These are both beautiful little towns. Sommerhausen has town walls, an autumn wine festival and is where I discovered fresh elderflower 'juice', yum!

Following the line of an old railway to the west of Ochsenfurt, the Gaubahn Radweg heads into the woods, past old mills, Tukelhausen Castle, the 'famous' accidently bombed village of Acholshausen, Gaukonigshofen and on to Rottingen. Regular information boards describe the (generally railway related) sights.

(Did it illegally all along.) How did you happen to visit Ochsenfurt, of all places? Nice sketch of the Unterbadgasse.
