  • Name of Shop: Bristol Guild of Applied Arts

The Bristol Guild has a quite amazing labyrinthine shop on Park Street, Bristol. In addition there is a very pleasant glass-roofed cafe at the back of the building. And an art gallery on the top floor.

The shop covers four floors and sells many things you will not find anywhere else. It is a great place to buy special gifts (as I have found out to my cost!). Many of the items are individually hand made, by local and national crafts people. But don't worry, you can also find good value smaller items, including birthday cards and chocolates.

Each room of the building has a theme - food and drink, kitchenware, toys, handbags, ceramics, jewellery, furniture, gift cards, prints and posters...

Open Monday to Saturday 9:30 to 5:30pm

Stepping back 430 years in time...that is the ultimate tourist attraction! I spent 3 days in Bristol back in '93, when my cousin married his wife, Rachel.

Well done, Sean. Climbing everywhere just to see the view? Sounds soooo familiar ;)
