| | Walton-on-the-Naze and Frinton-on-Sea are within walking distance of Clacton, if you are reasonably fit and enjoy endless concrete sea defenses. They are around seven miles north. Or you can take a half- hour bus ride - we finally spotted a bus just as we staggered into Walton!
Walton-on-the-Naze is known for having the second longest pier in England. We never reached the 'Naze', it was one mile too far for our sore feet. |

planxty Fri Jul 13, 2007 04:41 UTC Hi Sean, thanks for the Clacton tips - I intend to go for a daytrip today and take a few photos. fergy. | sourbugger Mon Jul 9, 2007 17:17 UTC ahhh.. the delights on clacton. good to see you around, mate. | Bwana_Brown Thu Mar 29, 2007 18:10 UTC It is fortunate I stumbled across your Clacton page - there goes my next-visit Accoms idea of ditching the B&Bs for a cheap overnight on someone's coast! Lovely views here, it has been a while since I last visited an English seaside resort area. | Mariajoy Tue Jul 4, 2006 23:18 UTC So you don't like shell fish then Sean? Much the same is on offer in Sussex seaside towns, mmmmm! I love 'em! (thanks, I was wondering when I would find something good to say about this place! :)) |
