Gloucester ~ historic inland port

by aaaarrgh - last update: Dec 12, 2005

mist photo opportunity
Doctor Foster went to Gloucester
In a shower of rain
He fell in a puddle
Right up to his middle
And never went there again

...as the well-known nursery rhyme goes.

Unfortunately, in this instance, I went to Gloucester during a freak spell of thick, damp, freezing fog!!

Love the pics in the mist, gives the city a very gothic feel. MMMMMMM, pudding and custard yummie! Good page, thanks for sharing.

The cathedral looks interesting, but I admit docklands would be the main reason for my visit.

You're not going to like this - not only did we follow you to Gloucester, but I also followed you into the pasty shop... YUM! ;-)

Yes it’s a shame so few people wrote about Gloucester. What a nice misty photo of the cathedral with none of the scaffolding visible. I hope you get to visit it again in the sunshine too!
