Cab-Inn now have several hotels in Copenhagen. We stayed at
'Cab-Inn City', 100m south of Tivoli and Railway Station.
Being a student of architecture I was curious about Cab-Inn. As the name suggests, the rooms are like
cabins, with fold down beds and tables, each room with its own compact shower 'room'. Our room fitted three people in. It was OK for space because the only time all three of us were there at the same time, we were in 'bed', asleep. The shower module was a bit small and difficult, it got very wet and steamy.
Breakfast was excellent - plenty of rolls, cheese, cold meat, juice, yoghurt, cereals etc.
Unique Qualities: Because of its clever creation of compact rooms, Cab-Inn is good value in comparison with other Copenhagen Hotels -
"The Best Rates in Town", they say. And I am not going to argue.
It was very clean and modern, with a large reception area with bar downstairs, with tables, chairs, TV lounge and views out onto the street.
The reception staff were fairly pleasant and all spoke excellent English. There was no curfew - I think the reception was open 24/7.
There was a friendly bar around the corner from the hotel too. The area is a bit quiet, opposite the Post Office HQ and surrounded by offices which were dead at night.
