Khao Yai which means big mountain, The national park has been being famous for a long time. Many visitors there each year as it's easy to reach, just 3 hours drive away from Bangkok. The national park covers the area of 4 provinces; Nakhon Ratchasima, Prachenburi, Nakhon Nayok and Saraburi, with total area of 2,168 square kilometers.
There are many range of trails in different kind of destinations. If you've been there, you will encouter a variety of landscapes, vegetation, and wildlife. There's some beautiful waterfalls.
.
It's easy to get around the area by driving, it 's very convenience. there're good roads, many routes all around Khao Yai National Park.
Some attractions can reach by car, such as Haew Suwat Waterfall but some places need to reach by foot only.
There are some kinds of accommodations within the area. You can rent a house or camping at campsite areas. There's also a lot range of accommodations front of the national park.
.
Just an hour away from my home. I used to go there in different seasons, in my opionion the best time to visit is in Rainy (June-October), all area are green and a lot water at waterfalls make them look more beautiful even its hard to walk.
In winter its best time for Thais as we want to feel the cold on the top of mountains so you will found a crowd almost everywhere, at campsites, at waterfalls or on many walking trails.
.
- Pros:orginal
- Cons:too many people in winter

Another wonderful page! Looks like a beautiful place to visit.
I also enjoyed my visit to Khao Yai!! I would love to return during the rainy season to fully enjoy the many Waterfalls!!
Love this pics and this place, lonelyness and quietness... thanks for sharing
We enjoyed spending a few days in Ban Khao Yai also. You are right, it does get much more crowded on week-ends.
Wann, I enjoyed Khao Yai too. Got to spend a couple of days there one time; however, it was the dry season and not much water was coming over the waterfalls. Thanks for bringing back some good memories.
