Bung Ta Lua Park - Tree & Bloom

Nakhon Ratchasima is generally known as Korat.

This is the biggest park in central of the town, Bung Ta Lua Park. Here's you will see a lot locals come for jogging, biking in the afternoon and early morning, during the day is quiet as it's too hot. Many trees in bloom in February, so nice.

Korat is a living town, just my opinion. If you feel like to visit somewhere different from those tourist towns, here might be the place. It's not far, just 3 hrs drive away from Bangkok. The best way to do sightseeing is just wander in downtown see how's people live, lifestyle, visit day market and quite a few popular night markets you shouldn't miss. The old town area is surrounded by old City Moat, walk in downtown to see old buildings, narrow streets, some historical sites, temples, museum etc.

There's also some famous attractions in the province area outside the town like Khao Yai National Park, Phimai Historical Park but they are about an hour away drive from downtown.

Really nice pic of the lighted dragon and dolphins, Wann. Your updated Khorat travelogue shows what a nice city it is. No wonder you love it. Are there any new tips to rate?

Thanks for the picture. It brings back great memories. I jog at this park when I am in Korat. Perhaps I have jogged with you. (another old girl)
