Korat - My Beloved Hometown

Korat.. Chedi at Wat Pa Salawan
Korat for me is a city where life goes on, filled with histories and precious memories. I was born and raised here and now living west of the city. I have simply life and do love it, work full time 5 days a week, go to mall sometimes, go jogging, biking in public park, or just wander in downtown that already make my day. I just love it here!

The night of festival in Korat City
Apart from those regulary activities I love going to National Park, or natural place particulary by the water area, love a drive on the weekends. Nakhon Ratchasima considered a large province of Thailand, so plenty opportunities to exploring a new route, new area, always feel more alive everytime visiting new place even just in my hometown.

I also love attending any local festivals & events. There're festivals & events take place from time to time, some grand festivals & events usually takes place at Yamo area or front of City Hall. There're also many of events or exhibitions at The Mall regulary.
Thao Suranaree or Yamo

Yamo and us

We commonly call here as Korat, Nakhon Ratchasima is an official name. In central of the city, The Statue of Thao Suranaree or Khun Ying Mo Statue situated. She 's a heroine of Korat History, we consider ourselves as her grandchild and always come to pay homage and ask for blessings.

Behide the statue is the City Gate, the old and original one left. It's been told if anyone walks through the gate, that means they walk into our city and soon they will come back again. Prove!!! if you want to come back here again ;-)
