I spent my weekend in Samut Songkhram. It’s a great place, just an hour drive away from Bangkok. I like it there, so natural, many typical Thai places, temples, and the special place, afternoon floating market, Amphawa. Many visitors enjoy cruise along canals, and Mae Klong river, some stay over night, enjoy real Thai living, especially activities in the evening and early morning. Type of accommodation, homestay is famous here.. |
| | Visit temples There are many nice temples, almost of them has a long interesting history. As many temples located on riverside, when you visit temples, also a good chance to enjoy the scenic view of canals and river. |
| | Land of vegetables and fruits also… The Mae Klong River and many canals in Samut Songkram, that’s why here is also known as a land of food grains, fruits and vegetables … |
