Ubon Ratchathani Travel Guide: 56 reviews and 194 photos

Ubon or Ubon Ratchathani is one of the northeastern provinces, the country's easternmost, borders Salavan and Champasak of Laos. The province itself is over 600 km far from Bangkok and some famous attractions I've been to is around 100 km out of Ubon town.

The attractions here catch my interest was not about the town but the scene of the river at the border to Laos.

Lately was the trip to Grand Canyon Thailand "Sam Pan Boak", very nice.
It's good to see in dry season between November to June.

At Pha Taem National Park

Pha Taem National Park is notable for its Dipterocarp forest cover and for extensive rock art on cliffs above the Mekong River. The art is estimated to be 3,000 years old.

Wann, thanks for updating some tips about my favorite area of Thailand and bringing back good memories for me. Hey, we stayed at the same hotel in Ubon but while you were in luxury in Surin, I stayed at Mr. Pirom's Guesthouse.
