Very close to the Cinque Terre - Levanto

If you want to visit Cinque Terre I recommend that you stay in Levanto . It is only a short walk or train ride to see the 5 towns. I really liked the beaches, the best in the area and the town had much more to do than the Cinque Terre towns. I have read that Levanto is an Italian tourist town. The out of country people tend to go to Cinque Terre, the Italians to Levanto.

Downtown Levanto

I think there is a lot more to do in Levanto than the other towns of Cinque Terre. Great beaches and restaurants in Levanto, plus you can drive to Levanto and park your car.

Its a shame you were forced to eat dinner in the hotel. You could have experienced some local cafes and restaurants otherwise.
