The former East Germany hides lots of superb towns that are virtually unknown to visitors outside Germany and only "heard of" by Germans themselves. This new opening photograph is of the town hall in Quedlinburg during a folk dance festival that happened to be going on while my wife and I were there in late June 2000. |
