A modern city with a rich historical past surrounded by a beautiful countryside and is the nearest bigger city to my hometown Elze. Situated just 30 kilometers south of Hannover, the capital city of Lower Saxony, Hildesheim is able to take advantage of an outstanding infrastructure in terms of public transport.

Hildesheim is the cultural center between the Harz Mountains and Hannover. Among the many historical buildings and churches, St. Michael´s Church and the Cathedral have been named as official historical monuments on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list.

There is a wide range of sports and recreational facilities including museums, theaters and natural surroundings for everyone to enjoy, along with excellent gastronomy and modern hotels to provide the perfect setting.

Hildesheim´s schools and educational facilities are also a cultural enrichment.
