"Rhodes - The sun island" Rhodes (Island) by Gerrem

Rhodes is my favourite greek island and has an area of 1,350 square kilometers and is approx. 75 km in length and 35 km across at its broadest. It is the largest island of the Dodecanes, (the name means twelve islands) a complex of islands in the south of the Aegean Sea and at the meeting point of three continents - Europe, Asia and Africa.
The highest mountain is Attavyros with 1,215 meters.
On average, Rhodes has more than 300 sunny days a year. From the end of May to the end of September the temperature is in excess of 25 degrees. In July and August it is more than 30 degrees and it doesn't rain, but the summer heat is offset by a cooling sea breeze.
