Wuerzburg, a town by the river Main, guarded by the castle Marienberg and protected by the Käppele, a wonderful pilgrimchurch on the hill.
You will find a lot of ancient churches and the worldwide known Residence in the middle of the town, built by Balthasar Neuman in the 18th
century.

Würzburg is the centre of the Franconian wine-growing region. Three of Germany’s largest estates are located here (Staatlicher Hofkeller, Bürgerspital zum Heiligen Geist, Juliusspital). Franconian wine in the typical "Bocksbeutel" (bottle) may be tasted in numerous little taverns.
