the hotel for the price was not bad. i paid 90 euros per night when i stayed there last new years. the room was great, my only complaint was the food in the restaurant off the lobby.
but then i ordered BBQ ribs and i guess the dutch just dont make them the way im use to. they were terrible!!
then the pizza i paid $18 american dollers for the worst small pizza i have ever had in my entire life.
other than that i would stay here again i just would'nt eat there.

ive been staying here now going on 20 years.
this place use to be called the karina rembrandt then they changed the name maybe 5 or 10 years ago. ok for the price this place is great. 80 euro's per night for single room. breakfast and all taxes is included. and the breakfast is not bad at all.
what i really like about the place is the location. you just cant beat it. you are with in walking distance to anywhere in central amsterdam. the neighborhood is perfect.
there are many restaurants and pubs in the neighborhood along with some of the best coffeeshops in all of amsterdam.
the hotel does have a bar and the soda machines on the 1st and 3rd floor sell beer.
what more can you ask for the price.
ok the place is not a 5 star hotel but, your not paying for a 5 star.

ok i only stayed here one time cause my usual hotel was booked up.
when i got here i had to wait 8 hours for my room. the hotel is right off the red light district with was ok cause i was there for the cup. i usally dont like to stay in this neighborhood but i had no problems.
we had a twin room witch was no bigger than your average walk-in closet. and im not kidding.
there is a really nice bar that i liked right next to the hotel. if you want a place right in the center you will like it here as the action goes pretty much all night, i personally like a more quieter neighborhood. but i would stay here again if i had to.
