The Brunssummerheide is a national park with a rich variety of vegetation. Hilly slopes, covered with heather (in Dutch: heide) alternate with sand flats and grasses. When I was there the weather wasn't great, it was drizzling a bit, but still the walk was very beautiful.
There is also a forest with some lovely paths. Through the forest and heather run many little streams, so some of the paths can get a bit muddy.
