The "Period of glory" - under Lord Mayor Toppler Rothenburg becomes one of the biggest and powerful cities in the German empire in 14th.

Built 1311-1471, a fine example of Gothic architecture.Holy Blood Altar and St. Francis Altar by great sculptor Tilman Riemenschneider. Church entrance is free but for a up close look of the wood work inside the church and upstair is 1.5 euro
