Getting TO/AROUND: The London Underground, or as its better know by Londoners as "The Tube", is possibly the easiest, quickest and cheapest way to get around London. Its also the oldest in the world dating back to 1863. The London Underground divides London in to 6 zones. Please make sure that you have the correct ticket when travelling between zones, because you upon leaving the station if you dont have the correct ticket, you will be liable to a fine. Please also remember to check when your last train leaves, because unlike New York, the Tube does not run 24 hours a day. Maps are freely available at all station to help you with your journey. The cheapest way to get around is to purchase a Daily Travel Card (after 09:30am). This card will be valid for travel within your zone, for as many trips as you can possibly fit in. Travelcards are also valid for buses.
