When visiting Cape Town, one of the MUST MUST DO things is to go up table mountain. Whether you climb or go up via the cable car, I could not recommend this enough, do it do it do it. The views from the top are breathtaking, and on a clear day you can see for miles and miles.

If you are a wine lover, you have to go wine tasting in the Stellenbosch region. There are ooodles and oodles of wine farms where you can go and taste the wines they make. Some charge a small fee for tasting and some let you taste their wine free of charge. I would recommend going to Kanonkop http://www.kanonkop.co.za/ and also Beyerskloof http://www.beyerskloof.co.za. Beyerskloof also make gorgeous Salami that has wine in it, and its very tasty.

Directions: Visit the tourist office at the V&A Waterfront for a booket, in there they have all the wine farms and a map of how to get to them.

Something I religiously do when I visit Cape Town is I have sundowners on the beach. Its the best way to round off a day in just the perfect way. We get a basket with our favourite snacks and some refreshments and walk down to the beach and sit there and watch the sun go set into the Atlantic, its truly a gorgeous sight, and such a relaxing way to end a day of sightseeing.

As there are so so many things to see and do when visiting Cape Town, another "must do" activity is to experience Cape Town from a bit of a distance. Take a drive to Bloubergstrang, and from there you can see Cape Town in the distance with the gorgeous Table Moutain as the backdrop. For the snap happy of you out there, this is a great place to get stunning pictures of Cape Town. Well worth a visit, the views are breathtaking!

Something that you will hopefully not miss when you visit this amazing country is the gorgeous sunsets. They are best appreciated from one of the many great beaches in Cape Town. This pic was taken from the stunningCamps Bay Beach. Also worth going to one of the Clifton Beaches to appreciate these fantastic sunsets.

Just had to add this pic to my Cape Town tips as the view from up Table Mountain is gorgeous. If you walk around the top of the mountain you can see all the lovely beaches below as well as the city centre. The views are totally spectacular, and very very worth while, you cannot possibly visit Cape Town withough going up the mountain. You there 2 ways to get up, one is to hike up the mountain, there are several paths you can follow, the other option is to take the cable car, it only takes about 5 minutes to reach the top, it also revolves as it goes up, giving all the passengers a good view as you go up the mountain.

Kirstenbosch is a world renowned botanical garden with a wide variety of flora on display. All the plants that grow in Kirstenbosch are indigenous, and originate from South Africa. I really enjoyed the morning we spend there, I really liked the cycads, there were loads of them, and they are really gorgeous. I also met a celeb there and got my picture taken with him, so it was a really good day for me as I am a big fan. There are also a few restaurants there and a souvenir shop where you can pick up some lovely reminders of your trip to Kirstenbosch.

No, its not some sort of mistake, if you visit Boulders Beach, you will see Penguins walking around in the sun on the beach. Located in a gorgeous spot between Simons Town and Cape Point is this world renowned beach that houses the unique African Penguins that are seen as a vulnerable species. Only about 10% of the original 1,5 million penguins are still around, so really worth seeing them. The drive to Boulders will take around 40 minutes and is very very scenic.
