Whenever I go back to South Africa for holiday, my first stop is always the Holiday Inn, Katherine Street. I always stay at this hotel when visiting Johannesburg, as its my favourite. You are ensured a nice stay from the moment you encounter the friendly check in staff. The rooms are very stylishly decorated and fully equipped with everything you will need making you feel right at home.
Unique Qualities: Located in Sandton which is a very exclusive area of Johannesburg, and set in very attractively landscaped gardens, and only a short drive from the upmarket and fashionalble Sandton City, Village Walk and Sandton Square shopping complexes.
Relax outside by die pool on the terrace having some food and drinks from the restaurant and cocktail bar.
As a regular visitor to this establishment I would thoroughly recommend this to anybody.

Directions: From the M1 northbound or southbound take the Grayston Drive turnoff. From there take the Katherine Street turnoff and the hotel will be approx 1km up Katherine Street. . Its got big beige walls around the sides, making it easy to spot.
