When you ask some people what the capital of South Africa is, many times their replies are, Cape Town or Johannesburg, or in some cases even Durban, but very seldomly Pretoria, the real capital of South Africa. Pretoria is also known as the Jacaranda city. The Jacaranda tree is a beautiful tree that has lovely purple flowers, and is found all over Pretoria. There are many streets in Pretoria that are lined beautifully with these trees, really gorgeous.
The Union Buildings are the Administrative Headquarters of the Government, and stands Majestically overlooking the city, surrounding this gorgeous building are stunning gardens which are well worth seeing. |
