Mexico is a synonym for me growing up. And for sure this is the world's biggest and for me the most fascinating cities I've ever been to. After a two-year-abstinence I finally came back here ... and still don't need a map to get along and around.
Yesterday I've been on some kind of trip through history, re-visiting many of the places where I used to go way back in 2003 ... and I still love it! People here are so friendly, open-minded, and there are SO many things to do, sights to visit, and museums to go ... or just buy a two-peso-ticket for the metro and drive around a bit. It is such a great feeling to be back again!!!
Oder wie sang schon Herr Westernhagen:
"Ich bin wieder hier
in meinem Revier
war nie wirklich weg
hab mich nur versteckt
ich rieche den Dreck
ich atme tief ein
und dann bin ich mir sicher
wieder zu Hause zu sein."
I couldn't say it in a better way than this!
- Pros:Exciting, never boring, lots of culture
- Cons:pollution and a bit of criminality
- In a nutshell:The city of cities! - Love it or leave it!
