Un montón de piedras viejas
The buildings of Uxmal are built in the archeological style known as "Puuc", the name wich means a route traveled by tourists its appreciated worldwide for its unique characteristics:such as monumental buildings, walls and vaulted roofs covered with carved stone, geometric forms, sunken columns, latticework and stone masks of the god Chaac. The cities on the Puuc Route are Uxmal, Kabah, Sayuil, Oxkintok, Chacmultun and Labna.
The ancient Maya city of Uxmal is located in the southwest of the Yucatan Peninsula, exactly 78 kilometers from Merida. Some of its most important constructions are the Quadrangle of the Birds, the Quadrangle of the Nuns, and the Governor's Palace. From the top of the tallest building, the Magician's or Wizard's Palace we have a perfect view of the entire zone of México.
