Once voted the most boring town in the UK | Snow Day Feb 2007 at South weald National Park |
There was outrage about this view and as such they started opening new pubs and bars to change the view of brentwood being a sleepy friendly place... now the crime rate has gone up (still not too bad though) and it's not such a bad place to be for the nightlife.
Brentwood is where i was born and raised and is a very good area... they have some of the best schools in the country (well two of them) and it still retains some of it's sleepy charm. It has great transport links to london, and is far away enough to enjoy clean air and relaxed atmosphere.
Honestly if you're doing the whole of England in a few days I wouldn't bother but if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city then it's only a 30 minute train ride away from liverpool st. |

miso80 Mon Sep 22, 2008 15:03 UTC *slap slap slap* | MikeStarr5 Thu Nov 8, 2007 00:29 UTC Very descriptive and amusing review of the Sugar Hut Village. I can just imaging a white-stilletoed, cackling bunch of bleached blonde slappas getting out of their stretch limo. You might like my appraisal of the "Barking Dog" pub in "Barking Town" hehe ! | mvtouring Tue Feb 13, 2007 06:32 UTC Had to laugh at your tip about the blondes. Very funny ;-) | jo104 Mon Feb 12, 2007 13:30 UTC Now I am going to have to go here can't miss out on yorkshire puds :-) |
